BFFC JUNIOR DIRECTOR OF COACHING
Brisbane Force would like to introduce our new Junior Director Of Coaching, Kevin Meacock. Kevin is an ex English Football League professional who has played at the highest level of football in Australia, the National League, now branded as the A – League. Kevin’s coaching credential’s are also of the highest order and he is regarded as one of the best coaches in Queensland.
He takes over from another excellent coach, John Reid, who has taken up a very senior coaching position with Football Queensland. We would like to wish “Reedy” all the best in his new role and welcome Kevin into the Junior hot seat. Kevin’s portfolio will see him attend a number of junior team training sessions and also have the responsibility of coaching the Junior coaches.

JUNIOR COACHING VACANCIES
BFFC would like to advise that they are seeking expressions of interest from within the club membership, and from outside the club, for coaches who are interested in coaching at any age level from Under 6 through to Under 15. Initially, a brief resume highlighting playing and coaching experience along with any coaching accreditation should be emailed to our Director Of Coaching at roddymackenzie1@bigpond.com

BFFC Team of Coaches

A professional and experienced team of coaches are carefully selected each year by the Management Committee, this team will lead Brisbane Force during the 2009 season and beyond.

The philosophy of the Club focuses on the development of players, the development of coaches and indeed the development of the game here in Brisbane.

The Club’s senior coaching team will be supported in 2009 by a Junior Director of Coaching. The Junior Director of Coaching will be responsible for attracting new players and coaches to the Club, for coach and player education, for lifting the general standard of coaching delivery and for junior player development.

All coaches appointed will be totally supportive of the Clubs “Football Focus” philosophy and will work as a combined unit developing young players with a real mantra of lifting the standard of each player at the Club.

Premier Division 1, Coach:  John Ogden

The team has been coached for the last 5 years by ex NSL player John Ogden.  John is renowned in Brisbane for giving young talented players a go.  Johns CV includes 11 years National Soccer League playing experience and coaching at Brisbane’s top level including at Premier League Clubs Taringa Rovers and Queensland Lions for 9 years.  John heads our senior coaching staff and rates his senior coaching team the best in Queensland.

Premier Division 1, Assistant coach:  Nick Seeley

Nick Seeley has had a long playing career in the Brisbane Premier League with 17 years under his belt.  Nick has a reputation for being a tough defender and as such Captained Queensland.  Nick will bring to the top team his vast knowledge and experience of defence in the game.

Senior Goal Keeping Coach: To be appointed

Premier Division 1 Reserves, Coach: Andrew Ogden

The reserve squad at the Club is seen by the coaching staff as instrumental in the support of Brisbane Force winning entry into the Brisbane Premier League in 2009.  Players selected will be vying for top team positions and will be capable of holding spots in the top team when necessary.

The reserve side will be coached by former Premier league coach, Andrew Ogden who has had 12 years playing experience in the Brisbane Premier League.

Andrew is a well respected player who has won the coveted Queensland Gold Medal as Queensland’s player of the year.  Andrew has also been with the Club for 5 years and contributes enormously to the success of the senior teams.

Andrew and his brother John work well together as a formidable unit, both being able to develop players whilst cementing the Club as a force in the Brisbane Football community.

Premier Division 1 Youth, Coach: Kevin Meacock

Kevin Meacock has had a notable professional playing career both in the UK before he immigrated to Australia and in Australia as a NSL player.   He has a state coaching license and is a primary school teacher.

Kevin has a great capacity to impart the knowledge he has learnt over the years to young adults and children and makes a perfect Premier Youth Coach.   He also has an eye for identifying talented players and developing them for senior football.
